Welcome and Introductions 
RC Davis-Undiano, Kathy Neustadt, and Daniel Simon welcome attendees and preview the 2023 lit fest.

An Interactive Presentation by Gene Luen Yang and Kelvin Yu 
Kelvin Yu—the creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the Disney+ adaptation of American Born Chinese—discusses the creative process with 2023 NSK Prize laureate Gene Luen Yang, introduced by RC Davis-Undiano.

A Conversation with Trung Le Nguyen and Gene Luen Yang 
Award-winning graphic novelists Trung Le Nguyen and Gene Luen Yang will discuss Yang’s work and its impact on young readers around the world, introduced by Daniel Simon.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24 

Neustadt Night at the Museum 
Kathy Neustadt will announce the winner of the 2024 Neustadt International Prize for Literature, plus members of the Neustadt award jury will read from their work. Books will be available for purchase and signing by all of the lit fest’s participating writers.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25 

Chinese American Popular Culture: A Roundtable Discussion 
OU professors Man-Fung Yip (Film and Media Studies), James Zeigler (English), and Ping Zhu (Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics) discuss Yang’s place within the broader scope of Chinese American culture, moderated by WLT editor in chief Daniel Simon.

The 2023 NSK Prize Ceremony  
Gene Luen Yang will formally receive the 2023 NSK Neustadt Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature at an award ceremony on the OU campus (by invitation only).

Information about parking on campus can be found at the OU Parking Services website. Free parking will be available in the Elm Street parking garage on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6-9pm.
