Dubravka Ugrešić has been announced as the winner of the 2016 Neustadt Prize!

Books Live provides a nice roundup of Ugrešić excerpts and interviews that you can read, and Music & Literature no. 6 provides 100 pages of new literature by and about the award-winning author. You can read a preview of one of these articles on the WLT blog.

Salman Rushdie paid tribute to Neustadt prizewinner Gabriel García Márquez this Wednesday to commemorate a new archive of Márquez’s work at the University of Texas. The archive is now open to the public.

NSK laureate and beloved children’s author Vera B. Williams passed away at the age of 88. World Literature Today editor in chief Daniel Simon wrote a tribute in her honor.

The Norman Transcript featured the 2015 Neustadt Festival, interviewing WLT executive director R.C. Davis and Kathy Neustadt on the importance of the festival to the University of Oklahoma and Norman, Oklahoma.
